2021 Jeep Gladiator
The Jeep Gladiator is a mashup between a truck and SUV that runs on gasoline.
How it looks when you see on the street: The Jeep Gladiator has a rugged, roll-up-your sleeves and throw on your Carrharts and a flannel shirt kind of vibe.
How it makes you feel when you get in: In control, because of its elevated height. It made feel like I threw on a pair of snug kicks.
How it drives: It drove smooth. It has hefty all-terrain tires, but it didn’t feel cumbersome. The suspension, which is how the car sits on the road, was firm, but not rigged.
Space for people and things: So much space in both cabins. You give up a bit of trunk space that would be in a traditional pick up truck, but plenty of room for athletic gear.
Best Features: Knobs and buttons give the Gladiator an industrial feeling, which are easy to grasp for bigger and smaller hands. They are easy to see in peripheral vision.
What makes it stand out: It’s distinctive exterior shape will stand out from every other SUV. I’d say it has an elevated streetwear vibe.
What should you compare it to: Nothing exactly, but a mid-size pickup truck is comparable in capability such as the Ford Ranger, Toyota Tacoma, and Nissan Frontier.
How much does it cost: It starts at $33,565.
