Jaguar XF
How it looks when you see it on the street: The XF carries the mantle for Jaguar sedans, a car that’s steeped in British motoring heritage, and outfitted with up-to-date tech.
How it makes you feel when you get in: Posh — it’s a proper English sedan, and until the all electric XJ sedan goes on sale, is the sole sedan from the ultra iconic carmaker that defined the category. The XF stands up to the test of time and the evolution of Jaguar interior design.
How it drives: It glides along city streets, and distant stretches of highway. There are two engines to choose from, and in this smooth cruiser’s case the base model P250 S is plenty powerful.
Space for people and things: It’s got a nice roomy trunk and ample back seat for full-sized passengers, which is a continuation from year’s past.
Best Features: We like wireless charging, the 12-speaker Meridian stereo, and hands-free entry.
What should you compare it to: Audi A6 and the BMW 5 Series.
How much does it cost: It starts in the $40,000 range.
