How it drives: The VW ID.4 has two configuration — a 282 horsepower and the weather-proofed all-wheel-drive model produces up to 330 horsepower. The range is about 275 miles.

What makes it stand out: It offers an impressive list of standard safety features ranging from automatic emergency braking to pedestrian detection bundled in a packaged called IQ Drive suite.
What should you compare it to: Tesla Model Y and the Ford Mach-E.
