How it looks when you see on the street: The BMW X3 is an all-around sporty contender in the luxury crossover category that show a clear relationship to the classic 3-series sports car. It’s poised, distinctive and exudes expensive taste in its strong boisterous curves. It had some slight updates in the 2022 model year that include a refined grille, head and tail lamps, front and rear bumpers, new wheel designs, and modified exhaust tips.
How it makes you feel when you get in: It give modern classic. It has 10-way adjustable seats in the front, and reclining seats in the rear. A 10-inch screen is standard, and there’s an option for larger 12.3-inch screen. A Wi-Fi hotspot and one USB port are standard, and more can be optioned up.
What’s new: For the 2023, the only add-in is standard keyless entry.
How it drives: It’s plucky turbo engine delivers solid power, and when the M configuration is added to the mix, its a dynamo. Lane departure warning is standard. Some safety tech is bundled as an option such as emergency braking with forward-collision warning.
How much does it cost: The M starts at about $70,000, and with the competition and executive packages that add features like a sport exhaust brought our test ride price up to $87,345.
