Nissan Rogue

How it looks when you see on the street: The Nissan Rogue has a sense of purpose — its staunch, angular and comes across as rock solid.

How it makes you feel when you get in: The Rogue interior is quite comfortable and overall a solid offering in this popular segment. It comes with two screen size offerings. Our tester had the larger nine-inch screen and includes the default infotainment option of Apple CarPlay/Android Auto.

How it drives: It’s gasoline powered and earns 28 mpg city, 34 mpg highway and 31 mpg combined — better fuel economy than the Honda CRV and Toyota RAV4. Propilot Assist is a Nissan-branded safety tech feature that combines adaptive cruise control and active lane-keeping tech.

How its set up: The Prestige Package Rogue includes standards such as ProPilot, leather seats and digital gauges, and creature comforts like a panoramic sunroof, heated seats and a heated steering wheel.

Space for People and Things: The Rogue is roomy and tall and its angular shape means that people and things fit well inside.

How much does it cost: Our top-of-the-line Rogue was priced at $41,975, called the Prestige Package, and the base price of the Rogue is $27,360.
